This is a great opportunity to see together, for the first time in Italy and Europe, organizations such as Sustainable Surf, Waves for Development, 5 Gyres and many more.

The festival will be the first in Europe certified as Deep Blue Event, an “ocean-friendly” certification created by Sustainable Surf that sets a clear path for reducing environmental impacts, while also providing social benefits for the local community.

Green talks include also the presence of Friend of the Sea, a non-profit, non-governmental organization, whose mission is to conserve the marine habitat. It was founded by Dr Paolo Bray, who as European Director of the Earth Island Institute’s Dolphin Safe Project, saved millions of dolphins from death in the tuna nets. The Friend of the Sea label is carried by products from sustainable fisheries and aquaculture that meet the requirements of the Food and Agriculture organization of the United Nations (FAO), so only fish stocks that are not over exploited are certified.

Have fun on the beach while building a sustainable future! For more information, please visit greensurffestival.com
